Ragg socks are not only classic, but they're good looking. The traditional ragg sock was made from wool so it was warm, but could be a little scratchy too. The Wigwam Cypress takes that classic ragg wool sock, but makes it out of cotton. If you want the look but don’t live in a climate that is suitable for a thick wool sock, the Cypress is a good choice.

I would personally rate this sock as a medium to light weight. It is definitely thinner and less bulky than the Wigwam El Pine, the classic ragg wool sock. However, it isn’t nearly as thin as a dress sock. This is a good sock for year-round comfort in most climates. It probably isn’t warm enough for shoveling snow in Duluth, MN and is probably too warm for Miami in July but everything in-between should be fine.

Whether you’re in Manhattan, New York or Manhattan, Kansas, this sock would look great with a pair of chukka boots. For a wine pairing, I might suggest a merlot.
